The Royal Belgian Ice Hockey Federation is proud to continue investing in the education and development of the people who support our sport every day: our club volunteers, team staff members, coaches, and support staff.
Strong clubs are built by motivated people. When volunteers understand their function, their responsibilities, and the value of their role within a team or club, they are more confident, more effective, and often enjoy their volunteer work even more. Education is therefore not only an investment in knowledge, but also an investment in people, club culture, and the future of Belgian ice hockey.
During this summer’s Development Series in Mechelen, taking place from 26 August until 30 August, the RBIHF will organise several unique and exciting educational opportunities. These courses will be delivered by experienced international instructors and are designed to support key roles within the ice hockey environment.
The following courses are planned:
Video Coach Course
Delivered by Sportway
26–30 August
Open to Belgian and international candidates.
Equipment Manager Course
Delivered by the IIHF
26–30 August
Open to Belgian and international candidates.
Body Check Clinic
Delivered by the IIHF
Saturday 29 August
Open to all certified Belgian coaches.
These courses are organised in direct connection with the Development Series, creating a unique environment where theory and practical experience can come together. Participants will have the opportunity to learn from international experts while being close to the daily reality of ice hockey practices, games, teams, and staff operations.
This announcement is intended to inform potential candidates in advance. The courses will become available through the RBIHF shop over the next seven days.
Please note that spots are limited. Interested candidates are encouraged to follow the RBIHF communication channels closely and register as soon as the courses are published.
With these educational initiatives, the RBIHF wants to support the many people who give their time and energy to our clubs. By helping volunteers and staff members grow in their roles, we strengthen our clubs, our teams, and the future of Belgian ice hockey.
