The Belgian U18 women’s team looks back on a strong and educational World Championship. One of the absolute highlights was the convincing 13–0 victory against South Africa. Belgium dominated from the opening face-off, scoring multiple hat tricks and delivering a flawless performance in goal by #1 Manon Meurez, who recorded the shutout. #19 Luisa Struys was named MVP of the game.

In the decisive match against Romania, who went on to claim the championship title, Belgium had to acknowledge the opponent’s superiority (0–6). Romanian efficiency proved decisive, although Belgium showed resilience and fighting spirit. #9 Linnore Saunders was named MVP of the game. Goaltender #20 Eurydice Blairon stood out with an impressive 39 saves on 45 shots and was deservedly named MVP of the tournament for the Belgian team.

Belgium finishes the tournament in fifth place, having remained in contention for a medal until the final matchday. Victories against Iceland and South Africa, combined with narrow defeats against Mexico and Chinese Taipei, highlight the growth potential of this young squad. With eight new players in the lineup, Belgium can look to the future with confidence.
