IIHF World Girls Day. IIHF World Girls Day.

Belgium started together with Finland several years ago the Girls hockey days to bring the game of ice hockey closer to girls. Later the International Ice Hockey federation expanded the initiative worldwide, and now yearly participate the to WORLD GIRLS HOCKEY DAYS

An awesome initiative where experienced female hockey players (i.e. National team) work closely together with Learn to play hockey coaches.

The WORLD GIRLS DAY event will take place this year on Sunday October 13th at the Ice rink in Leest. Ice time starts at 11.45AM but participants will be welcomed as of 11AM. The end is foreseen by 1.40PM

Beside the Learn To Play (LTP) practice for new and existing players, a demo hockey game will be played by the members of the National team.
Everyone is welcome, Are you interested but you don’t have equipment, skates or stick? Then we will look for a solution. This cannot be a reason for not showing-up next Saturday .

In order to prepare for the event we do ask the participants to notify us. To participate email johan.bollue@rbihf.be with your name, date of birth and club (in case you are already affiliated with an existing Ice / inline hockey club). In case you bring a friend, then just add this info as well to the email.

See you next Saturday in Leest !!
