Nervous start for Belgium
Belgium began the game with visible tension. While searching for their rhythm, they were met by a sharp and well-organized Chinese Taipei team in the early stages. Over the first two periods, the visitors built a solid lead, going up 0–3.
The Belgian comeback
Despite the deficit, Belgium refused to give in. With tremendous effort and determined team play, the comeback started in the third period, during which the Belgian players dominated more of the play and showed great resilience and fighting spirit.

Close to equalising, but Taipei stay composed
Belgium kept pressing and creating chances, and an equaliser seemed within reach. However, in the closing stages of the third period, the slightly stronger and more organised Chinese Taipei sealed the win with a decisive fourth goal.
