September is always the start of the new HELLO PLAYER season. The talent development program of the RBIHF has invited more than 160 players next weekend for the EVALUATION days in Mechelen. The evaluation is based on off-ice and on-ice testing and aims to select a group of 40 players and 4 goalies per age group (u16 and U18) for the next season.
As players in the age U16 and U18 are developing fast we build every year the group from scratch, players who did not make the selection last season can still make it this season.
On Saturday all invited U16 players are expected in Mechelen at 13.00 (see agenda), like last season we plan 3 activities (training camps) for this group over the season.
On Sunday all invited U18 players are expected at 09.00 (see agenda). The Hello Player program for this age group is limited to 1 selection camp, as the National Team Selection will be made in January. Focus will then be on the preparation of the Selection to participate to the IIHF World Championships in Bulgaria.
