Belgium and Netherlands Battle to 3-3 Tie Belgium and Netherlands Battle to 3-3 Tie

The Belgian Senior Women’s national ice hockey team recently faced the U21 Women's Team of the Netherlands in a friendly match that ended in a thrilling 3-3 tie. This game was part of their preparation for the upcoming World Championships in Division IIB, which will take place in Hong Kong from 30th of March til 6th of April.
What made this match particularly interesting is that the team has a new coaching staff, and this was a key opportunity for both players and coaches to get to know each other under competitive conditions. Head coach Dale Miller and assistant coach Kirsten Schönwetter used the match to experiment with different line combinations, testing new synergies both among and in between forward and defensive lines, to see how adaptable the players are. It’s all part of a broader plan to fine-tune the team dynamics before the championship, ensuring the squad is as versatile and cohesive as possible once they hit the ice in Hong Kong.

Stay tuned for next updates:
The team is set to depart on the 28th.
Puck drop on the 30th is against Lithuania at 16:30 local time.
