The Koninklijke Belgische IJshockey Federatie confirms that the Senior Men’s international championship will not take place this season. The International Ice Hockey Federation has officially decided to cancel the tournament.
Due to the current geographical situation in the world, it has not been possible to organize the competition in line with the required standards regarding safety, logistics, and sporting integrity. Despite considerable efforts and the exploration of multiple scenarios, no viable solution could be found.
This decision is understandably disappointing for players, staff, and officials. Officials who were originally appointed for this championship will remain in consideration for potential assignments at other international events, should positions become available.
